IB Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
International Baccalaureate at Caldwell Heights Elementary
Caldwell Heights Elementary is a Primary Years Programme school. This school has received authorization as an IB World School, one of many schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education, that Caldwell Heights Elementary believes is important for our students.
What is the Primary Years Programme?
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a curriculum framework designed for students aged 3 to 12. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. It is defined by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subject areas, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning.
Listed below is information to help our students, parents, and community learn about the program. If you want to know more about the IB Program at Caldwell Heights, please contact Macy Lane, our IB Coordinator, or Michelle Montalvo, Principal.
